Adele Bloch-Bauer was the only person Klimt painted twice. Both portraits represent different stylistic phases; the first one represented Klimt's golden style. This portrait, the second one, was painted under the influence of the Fauves and Henri Matisse, which can be seen in the way the artist uses colour.
