Schiele's works are famous for their intensity, twisted shapes, and expressive lines. He produced dozens of self-portraits and nudes. Most of his works have pornographic character. The artist and his wife died in the autumn of 1918 from the Spanish flu pandemic that claimed more than 20,000,000 lives.
