Today, we celebrate Museum Selfie Day! So bring in your cameras and start taking selfies with your friends and family in front of the masterpieces you like.  :)

On this day we present to you a type of selfie. In this family portrait, a Dutch painter, Charley Toorop has immortalized herself, her son, and her father in her studio in Bergen. Behind the artist is her son, the painter Edgar Fernhout, who is holding a palette. Her father, the famous artist Jan Toorop, died in 1928; he is represented by the large bronze portrait by the sculptor John Rädecker. Toorop created other self-portraits, which we featured in the past.

We present today's work thanks to the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen
