Alphonse Mucha was a master of Art Nouveau advertisements and commercial posters. Donna Orechini is a striking profile portrait of a woman wearing a heavily jewelled headdress with dark rubies and gold crescents. The woman’s hair is dark brown and her eyes are likewise dark. She is surrounded by the heavy ornamentation typical of Mucha’s work.
