Dear DailyArt users, TOMORROW is our big day. Tomorrow, we release the new version of DailyArt, the one on which we have been working for the past two years. The one that we were able to create thanks to you, your support, and your donations! With a new design, and new features, it is easier and faster to use. We hope you will love it. If, by any chance, you don't have the DailyArt PRO, please buy it today; it's the last chance to get the premium features forever; from the new version, we move to the subscription model. Tell this to your family and friends; it's an actual occasion!

If you don't see the "Upgrade to Premium" button below, it means you're already PRO.  :)

It is also the last day of the version of the app you use today. It served us well for six years. I was thinking very hard about what to present to you today, and I've decided that the allegorical The Stages of Life by Caspar David Friedrich would be perfect.

Completed just five years before his death, this painting, typically for Friedrich, is a melancholic meditation on mortality and the transience of life. We see a Baltic Sea port in the dusk. In the foreground there is an aged man with his back turned to the viewer, walking towards an adult and three children overlooking a harbor. The figures are echoed by five ships shown in the harbor, each at a different distance from the shore, which is an allegorical reference to the different stages of their lives, to the end of a journey, to the closeness of death. The figures have been identified as Friedrich and his family: the aged man is the artist himself, the young boy is his son Gustav Adolf, the young girl is his daughter Agnes Adelheid, the older girl is his daughter Emma, and the man in the top hat is his nephew Johann Heinrich.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us, don't forget to update the app tomorrow, and see you in the new version!  :)
