Today is the first day of Spring, so HELLO! Long time no see!  :)

On this day, we wanted to show something full of light and green. How do you like today's Gustav Klimt work?

Klimt is mostly known for his golden, Byzantine phase. But later in his life, he became inspired by French Impressionism and painted a lot of vibrant, colorful landscapes. Italian Garden is one such painting where the artist showcases his deep appreciation for nature's beauty and the serene ambiance of garden landscapes. In the painting, Klimt uses a flurry of colorful, almost Pointillist brushstrokes to bring the lush greenery and blooming flowers of an Italian garden to life. The play of light and shadow, along with the varied palette, reflects a sun-drenched garden's dynamic yet harmonious atmosphere.

Klimt's landscapes, including the Italian Garden, are often viewed as a counterpoint to his more elaborate and symbolic portraits. They reveal a different side of the artist, which finds tranquility and a sense of balance in the natural world.
